“If the bicycle was invented tomorrow it would be seen as the solution, not the problem”. This is the quote adorning the window of one of Mill Road’s bicycle shops. It’s a good point.
Owner Jef is a qualified Cytech bike mechanic and carries out all kinds of bicycle repairs and maintenance in his shop. He has accessories, parts and bikes for sale in the shop. You can view the range on offer via his website.
Jef also donates unusable inner tubes to local company Q Here who recycle them and make them into bags and accessories.

Mill Road has a number of bicycle shops, including this one. You can pick up secondhand bicycles, buy spare parts or accessories, or visit if you need any kind of repair at reasonable prices. And let’s be honest, living in Cambridge requires a working bicycle!
Owner Steve carries out repairs in the shop, so pop in to meet him and see him at work.

CamCycles is a one man band business and owner Graeme takes pride in offering a completely personal service to his customers. Pick up new and secondhand bikes or take yours in for a speedy and affordable repair, whether it”s something small like a puncture or a more major repair job. Graeme stocks a range of accessories including lights, locks, tyres, inner tubes, baskets and panniers and more. Also of note is the fact that CamCycles donates unusable inner tubes to Q Here, who recycle them and turn them into bags and accessories (http://www.qhere.net/).
Greg’s is one of the oldest bike shops on Mill Road and you won’t find anything other than generic information about it online. The shop is rammed full of bikes – you’ll have trouble getting in and trouble finding Greg himself since he’s tucked round a tight corner behind the counter. Look out for old newspaper articles in the window.
So if old school is how you like your bike shops, this is the one for you.
